A visit with Santa

I know Halloween is barely over and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I'm not usually one to jump into the holidays before Thanksgiving. However, the thought of finagling naptime with long lines at the mall while we waited to see Santa Claus was not appealing to me!

So we decided to head to the mall after Miller's nap this past Saturday morning. And it worked just as I had hoped! The line was very short. I think we were the 3rd ones in line when we got there. We waited a few minutes and then we got to see Santa. There was only one person in line behind us so we didn't feel rushed.

We had prepared Macey that morning for the visit to see Santa. We told her he was a nice man and there was no reason to be scared. We talked about what he would be wearing and how he would have white hair and a white beard. While she wasn't overly enthusiastic, she didn't cry! That was a huge win this year. Maybe she'll sit on the chair next year!
