Our Date

Mitchell and I had a date last night. Dave went to the Braves game, so Mitchell and I went out to dinner together. He wasn't very gentlemanly since he wanted to "talk first" (order first). He wanted to order his own drink so he ordered some milk. When it was time to order our dinner, he told the waiter he wanted grilled cheese and french fries. And then he turned to me and said, "Mommy, I'm not shy." And he ate every bite of his grilled cheese (as long as I put ketchup on it). He was a very good boy and we had a great date last night!

After dinner, we went to Kroger to get some milk. I told him if he was good at dinner that he could pick out some doughnuts for Saturday's breakfast. So he picked out his doughnuts and of course he wanted one last night. But he also said he wanted to take them to school to share with his friends. This morning he said again that he wanted to share his doughnuts and he asked for a plate to put them on. So he put 3 doughnuts on a plate for himself and 3 on a plate for Mommy and Daddy. He then took the plates over to the table and set out our breakfast. Of course there is no way he can come close to eating 3 doughnuts! I think he's eaten 1/2 of one by now. He said again this morning that he wants to share his doughnuts with his friends. But now that he's touched about every single one in the box, I'm not sure that we'll share them with anyone outside of our family!

Last night Mitchell told me he was "super strong". I asked him who told him that and he said Ms. Shealey (his new teacher at school). So I asked him how he knew he was super strong and he said because he had muscles in his arms. So I asked him where his muscles were and he looked down at his arm and said to me, "Mommy, will you help me find my muscle?"
