I told Mitchell that Daddy's birthday is tomorrow. First, he asked, "What does he want on his cake?"
I told him I didn't know and we should ask him. So Mitchell asked him and Dave asked him what Mitchell thought he should get on his cake. Mitchell said, "Construction vehicles!"
Then Dave asked him how old Mitchell thought he was going to be and Mitchell said, "Four like me."
I told Mitchell we needed to go to the store to get a card for Daddy and he said, "I already have a card." I didn't think much of it until Mitchell came back to our bedroom carrying some playing cards from his Crazy 8s game. He said, "See Mommy. I told you. I have cards."
On the way home from getting birthday cards, I told Mitchell he would need to sign the card when we got home. So he asked Dave what his name starts with.
He did a great job signing the card, drawing pictures on it and writing "Daddy" on the envelope.
