April ~ the month of 3's

Ack...I can't believe it's April already! And I know it's been a while since I've updated my blog. Get used to it though since I'll soon be taking care of a newborn. : )

I realized recently that some of the important dates in our family fall on the days that end in "3"...
Dave's birthday is April 3rd
Our wedding anniversary is April 13th (that's tomorrow!)
And Macey's birthday will be April 23rd

So every 10 days during the month of April, we'll have something to celebrate.

This year, we celebrated Dave's birthday at Twisted Taco (again). Although it wasn't a surprise like last year and it was just us and another couple. It was one of those last minute things where our friends called to see if he wanted to go out to dinner. Dave had a coupon (surprise, surprise) so that is why we ended up at Twisted Taco. Plus, the kids always have fun playing in the arcade there. We had a very nice evening...although I was exhausted because we'd spent the better part of the day getting the rest of Mitchell's things out of the nursery and into his room and pulling baby stuff out of storage. We got a lot done and made yet another trip to Goodwill to donate some items. It feels so good to get things in order before the baby comes.

We don't have any huge plans for our 8th anniversary. When my parents were in town a few weeks back, we had a night out...which involved an early dinner at Outback (I was craving steak) and an early check-in at the Marriott where we were staying for the night. Dave was at the beginning stages of getting sick with a cold and I was just plain tired (nothing new there!). We ordered "The Hangover" and had a nice time just relaxing and watching the movie. We had a nice breakfast in the restaurant at the hotel and then we headed back home. But we said that would be our anniversary celebration. I have told Dave that 2 years from now...when we have our 10th anniversary and my 40th birthday, we'll have to plan a great trip! I'm already looking forward to it.

I'll try to post a few more times before the baby arrives. I know I have pictures I need to post and other updates to give.
