Mitchell turned 9 on Tuesday, November 20th. Lucky for him, it was the last day of school before they got out for Thanksgiving. So I know it was a fun day at school.
He was so excited to open his birthday presents when he woke up that morning. He also got to have a cupcake for breakfast.
His dinner request was low country boil. It was so much easier to stay in instead of trying to get everyone out of the house and eat dinner out somewhere. Dave was happy to oblige and make him his favorite dinner. It's much cheaper to eat shrimp at home as opposed to eating out!
I took cupcakes to school the Friday before his birthday and got to meet all of his classmates. I'm taking advantage of the times that he actually wants me to be around him and his friends! Everyone asked where Miller and Macey were and why they didn't come with me. I guess Mitchell must talk about them a lot at school!
We didn't have a big birthday party like we do some years. Instead, Mitchell opted for $100 cash and a dinner out with a few of his friends at Moe's.
Next year is a big year when he'll finally hit double digits!
