The things they say

I'm going to take a new approach to blogging. I usually feel like I have to type several paragraphs and have a lot to say. Although sometimes I just want to remember something funny that the kids said or did. So I'm going to start doing that instead so hopefully my blog will be updated more often now, but will have shorter posts.

Mitchell and Macey have been cracking me up lately with some of the things that they have said.

Mitchell: "Would you get mad if the Easter Bunny brought me the movie Ted?"  (Side note:  Ted is rated R.)   I told him that the Easter Bunny talks to Mommy and Daddy before bringing Easter presents so he would not be getting Ted from the Easter Bunny!

Macey: "I can't want it."
Macey has actually been saying this for a while. It's one of those cute things (in my opinion) that she says that I want to remember because she might start saying, "I don't want it" at some point. But I love "I can't want it." On the morning of the Vick's incident, she brought me Miller's bib. She had taken it off of him for some reason and told me, "He can't want it." I guess they have their own language because I had no idea that Miller didn't want his bib! LOL.

Macey also imitates me and how I talk to Miller. One night he was fussing in the swing and I was putting laundry into the washing machine. She came into the kitchen and started helping me put the clothes into the washing machine and she yelled to Miller, "Hold on, Miller! I'll be right there." I say that a lot to Miller when he's fussing and it was so cute to hear her saying it to him as well.

Macey also repeats what we say to Mitchell. As soon as I call down the hall for him to come to dinner, she's calling for him as well. Mitchell doesn't take too kindly to Macey telling him what to do, so he turns the tables on her and tries to discipline her. He'll tell her that he's going to put her in time out if she doesn't behave. Who needs parents when I have these 2 around?
