He lost 2 teeth in one day. And it wasn't because they got knocked out. They both came out on the same day. According to him, these are numbers 12 and 13. I've lost count of how many teeth he's lost so I'm glad he kept up with it! The tooth fairy brought $5 for both teeth.
Mitchell also had his last 2 baseball games of the fall season and he had 2 big hits! On Saturday, October 19th, we played the Padres. At one at bat, Mitchell got up with the bases loaded. He had a big hit to right field which ended up being a grand slam homerun. There were no over throws or missed balls...it was so far out in right field that it took the other team a while to get the ball in.
His last baseball game was on Tuesday, October 22nd. We played the Mets. This was a make up game from a rainy Thursday. Our previous game with the Mets was also rescheduled because of rain!
Mitchell played catcher since the coach was giving some other players a chance to pitch. Mitchell likes intimidating the base runners when he's playing catcher. He yelled to the 2nd and 3rd basemen to be ready because he was going to throw it if they tried to steal. He and the 2nd baseman (Sam) did get a runner out at 2nd when the base runner tried to steal 2nd. Mitchell also had a big hit in this game as well. The bases weren't loaded this time, but he still hit a homerun to center field. I thought it was going to go over the fence. It bounced right before the fence and hit the sign on the fence. Mitchell and the pitcher also had the last out of the game when Mitchell was playing 1st base.
