What a sweet boy

I am postdating this blog so I can better track stories like this and when they happened. Hope that no one minds!

We went to Moe's tonight with Danielle and Gabriella (our neighbors). The guys had gone to an Atlanta Braves game. An older woman with a walker came in and her husband was outside. It was taking him a while to make it to the door because he was having difficulty walking. When he got to the entrance of Moe's, we knew he would have a hard time opening the door because it's pretty heavy. So Danielle went over and held the door open for the gentleman. By this time, his wife was at the register paying and he was walking towards her. Mitchell was getting fussy and was acting like he wanted to get down. So I let him get down from the booth.

Mitchell walked over to the man, hugged his legs and then reached his arms up like he wanted the man to pick him up! The man started to bend down and he had his arms positioned like he was going to pick him up but I knew there was no way that he could considering the difficulty he was having just with walking across the restaurant. So I bent down and picked Mitchell up and held him so that he could hug the man. After he hugged him, he was fine and was ready to go back and sit down.

I am not sure what attracted him to this man. He doesn't look like anyone that we know. Maybe he just knew somehow that the man needed a hug. : )
