Weekend Update

We went to a friend's house for a cookout last night. They have a daughter, Addy, who is 7 months younger than Mitchell, but they were in the same class for a little while at Primrose. Addy and Mitchell played so hard in the backyard...in the play house, the sandbox and the pool. Dave had the idea to put the end of the slide in the pool and the kids had a blast (as you can see from the picture).

Mitchell also climbed the retaining wall in their backyard. It wasn't as tall as the wall you see behind him in the picture, but it was probably 3-4 feet tall. It reminded me of those people who climb rock walls and have to find the crevices to fit their feet. But he just climbed right up it. Of course he took the hard way...he could have walked around the wall to get up to the same place. But for some reason, climbing the wall looked like fun to him.

Mitchell also enjoyed drinking the pool water as you can see from the picture.

For the most part, the kids played well together. They didn't fight over Addy's toys too much. Mitchell eventually got used to their big dog licking him and knocking him around. By the time we left, he was petting the dog. When we were inside and the dog was outside, Mitchell would stand at the door and yell "DOG" as the dog looked inside.
