If I don't document these things that Mitchell does, he'll never believe me when I tell him years from now!
1. Doing chores and cleaning is actually fun. The other night, Mitchell wanted to wash his own dishes. He pulled his chair up to the kitchen sink and was so excited and proud about washing his plate and putting it in the dishwasher. So I took advantage of the situation and had him wash some other dishes as well!
He also likes to use the Dustbuster on the kitchen floor. I'll sweep and he'll get out the Dustbuster and vacuum up the dirt.
He also likes to help me vacuum. The night before my birthday, I told him that we were going to clean up the den and then vacuum. He was so excited to help me out.
2. I caught him a couple of weeks ago using his toothbrush to clean the toilet. He was scrubbing the handle as well as the seat with his toothbrush. He actually cried when I told him that we had to throw it away immediately. Note to self: hide our toothbrushes so the same thing doesn't happen to our toothbrushes.
3. I'm sure he'll deny it one day...but there was actually a time when he loved sitting on my lap and snuggling with me. And saying, "I love you" came very easily and was said very often.
