Turning 35 was better than I expected!

As usual, my birthday celebration extended past more than that just the actual day. It's more of a month-long celebration when my birthday comes around.

This year it started on Thursday night when Dave (and Mitchell) surprised me with a new digital camera. We came back from running errands and Dave said he needed Mitchell to help him clean out his car. I was picking up toys in the den when Mitchell came upstairs carrying a bag from Best Buy. He told me that *he* got me a present. It was a new digital camera! I was very surprised and very excited to get a new camera. When I put Mitchell to bed on Thursday night, I thanked him for the camera. He said, "You're welcome. Happy Birthday, Mommy."

I took my birthday off and just relaxed and enjoyed having the day to myself. I got a manicure and pedicure and then picked Mitchell up from school early. We went to dinner at Ippolito's then came back home to birthday cake and candles.

Today, we took Mitchell to INK (Interactive Neighborhood for Kids). It's a children's museum in Gainesville, GA. Mitchell loved it and it was fun seeing him having such a good time. He loaded up his own groceries (cereal, milk, 1 banana and Pringles), played in the dentist chair, served Dave and I french fries, pizza and Diet Coke in the restaurant, played with a Thomas train table and sat in an old-timey firetruck. We were going to shop afterwards, but we were all exhausted! So we came back home and we've just been relaxing since then.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the pictures off of my new camera!!
