Santa visit - take 5

We're 1 for 5 with successful Santa visits. The only time Mitchell didn't cry was when he was just a few weeks old.

For the past 3 years, I've been able to get a picture of him with Santa...even though it's a picture of Mitchell crying. I was worried last year when he wouldn't even sit beside Santa. He's sat in a chair off to the side.

We had a plan this year...we talked about Santa and how he would bring presents, but Mitchell had to tell him what he wanted. His friend Hazen was excited to see him, so we decided to go together in the hopes that some of Hazen's excitement would rub off on Mitchell. As we got closer and closer to our turn, Mitchell got more and more nervous about seeing Santa. He watched Hazen with Santa, but seemed really apprehensive. And sure enough, when it came to his turn, he wanted me to pick him up and he wouldn't let go of my neck. We sat on the couch together with Santa, but he wouldn't let go of my neck and he wouldn't even look at Santa. We didn't even get a picture this year. I think I have to face the fact that he may never like going to see Santa!
