We headed out this morning at 7am to meet the neighbors so we could all walk to school together. Mitchell was shy at first, but it didn't take him long to warm up and he was off running down the street with the other children.

The school was completely chaotic when we got there. But we made it to his room with no fussing or crying. We found where to hang his backpack and put his lunch bag. I think he was a little overwhelmed with the number of people crammed into the room at the time and he said he wanted to get some water. So we walked down the hall to the water fountain. Then we headed back and he was fine once I steered him toward his teacher, Ms. Butler. I left the room and no tears were shed by either one of us!
I can't wait to hear how his day went. I'm anxious to hear about his new friends, how lunch in the cafeteria was and how he likes his teacher.
