Where does the time go?

I think the time goes by faster when you're not working! I can't believe how long it's been since I've blogged. Watching Will and Grace reruns Searching for a job takes up a lot of time.

May 3rd marked 5 months since I was laid off. It's shocking to me that so much time has passed. It seems like just yesterday when I left AutoTrader. The job search has continued to be really slow. On a positive note, I do have an interview on Friday. <fingers crossed> I wonder how I'll work in my extra curricular activities (movie Fridays, lunches, Facebook, shopping, reading, hanging with the neighbors and the gym) if I have to actually *gasp* work.

I haven't gotten nearly as many projects completed as I had hoped. I work better with deadlines. I need someone to tell me when I'll go back to work, then I can actually get some things done! So please contact me if you have a crystal ball.

Although I think I'll get a job *soon* because we have a week-long vacation planned at the end of this month and I'd like to spend a week in NC visiting friends and relatives in Statesville and Raleigh. So of course I'll start a job and won't have any vacation time!

We're counting down the days until the end of school....9 more to go! As of right now, we have 2 weeks of summer camp scheduled. We're holding off on planning anything else until we know if I'll be working.

Mitchell has really taken to coloring with markers. He'd been doing really well with not coloring anything but paper.

Then this happened:

Thankfully the markers were washable and it came right off. He did have a bronzy look for a day. But it wore off pretty quickly.

Here are some better examples of his artwork:

We spent this past weekend in NC visiting with my side of the family. Mitchell turned Granddad's yard into a baseball diamond and even tried to convince him that he needed a hole in the yard for putting. Maybe our next trip will include a ride in Granddad's golf cart to the putting green at the club!

Great artwork - yes, even the face painting (lol!)!

No crystal ball, but fingers crossed!
