Where have the Preslans been?

Or perhaps the better question is where have we not been?!

I've received several inquiries asking why I haven't updated my blog since the first day of school. So I started thinking back to what we've been doing since the first day of school on August 23rd.

We have been to:
7 baseball practices
8 baseball games
NC
TX
SC
School activities
Cub Scout activities

Mitchell started fall baseball on September 9th. He was evaluated and drafted to be on the Marlins team. This baseball experience has been a lot different than last spring! There were some weeks where he had 2 practices during the week and a game on Saturday. We also had a few weeknight games. The games are 1 hr and 45 minutes and the practices are 1 1/2 hrs. Along with lengther practices and games, we have to drive from the east side of Roswell to the west side of Roswell for his games and practices.

Mitchell also asked to sign up for Cub Scouts this year. In first grade, the boys are Tiger Cubs. We've had a few pack and den meetings and we're learning about the organization. He has his uniform and looks so handsome in it! We still have not gotten his patches sewn on! That is next on my long to do list! His first camping trip will take place the weekend of his 7th birthday. He and Dave will camp inside of the Chattanooga Aquarium. Indoor camping is probably a good place for them to start! Macey and I will stay in a nearby hotel.

We've taken several trips since the start of school. We took one last trip to the beach over Labor Day weekend. We were really spoiled this year with several trips over the summer while I was on maternity leave. We miss the beach!

We also headed to NC a few weekends ago to host a baby shower for my cousin Jennifer who will be having a baby in November! We all had fun showering Jennifer, Randy and Max with love and gifts.

Mitchell was out of school for Columbus Day, so we took a long weekend trip to San Antonio, TX. Texas is Mitchell's favorite state and he's been wanting to visit there for a while now. I visited San Antonio years ago and always wanted to go back. We had a wonderful weekend. The trip will get its own blog post in a few days.

Mitchell and Dave have also gone to a Falcons game and we've been able to fit in a trip to Six Flags as well. We've had birthday parties, playdates and lots of fun with family and friends over the past few months.

Macey is almost 6 months old now! She is doing great. Everyone who comes in contact with her comments on how laid back she is and what a good baby she is. The teachers at daycare love her and almost don't want to send her home at the end of the day! One of the moms at baseball practice held her for a good 1/2 hour at one of our practices. She is rolling both ways now and I can tell that she is anxious to crawl. She has her 6 month checkup on October 26th. I'll be sure to publish her stats after that appointment since I missed doing that after her 4 month checkup!

Stay tuned for more updates....
