Remember When: Happy 1st Birthday, Macey!

Wow...none of us can believe you're ONE! It's been an amazing transformation to see you go from a newborn to an attention-getting, talkative, stubborn, blue-eyed, blonde, almost-walking little girl.

I was rereading

what I wrote about the day you were born and it's ironic how there are some similarities to your birthday weekend one year later! Grandmother and Granddad came to Atlanta to take care of Mitchell while we were in the hospital with you. They brought barbecue for us to eat for dinner. This past weekend, they also brought barbecue for our dinner! And Mitchell slept on our floor the night before you were born because Grandmother and Granddad were sleeping in Mitchell's bedroom. This past weekend, you slept on a cot at the foot of our bed because Aunt Kerri was sleeping in Mitchell's room.

You have reached so many milestones this past year and we've enjoyed watching you learn new things! From rolling to sitting, crawling, pulling up, cruising and now taking steps all by yourself...you've done it all!

You love cheese, crackers, bread, pears and bananas. You are drinking whole milk now, but you still prefer a bottle over a sippy cup. And Daddy spoils you by heating up your milk for you.

You sleep through the night most nights and you usually take a 2-hour nap each day.

You love shiny things like earrings, rings and other jewelry.

You love being outside in the fresh air and sunshine.

You love clapping and giving high fives.

You have 2 bottom teeth and just about 4 teeth on the top. 2 are in completely and 2 are on their way in.

Your brother calls you "Binky" and "Moo Moo"...we can't tell if you like it or not. : )
