Catching Up ~ July, August, September

I guess time flies when you're having fun!  There is a lot to catch up on since I last posted in July.

Mitchell played summer baseball for Newtown.  This was his 2nd summer playing in this league.  Ironically enough, his coach was someone we knew from Primrose years ago.  Mitchell had a great season. He played 1st base most of the time.  He did great defensively.  He got all 3 outs in one inning during one game.  The other coaches always complimented him on his skills.

We got in one last beach trip in late July.  It's always sad to know it's last trip for a while!  On our last night, we went to the pier for ice cream.

We traveled to Raleigh, NC, the weekend before school started for an early birthday celebration for me.  I wouldn't be able to travel in October, so this was my opportunity to celebrate my 40th birthday at the Angus Barn.  And it did not disappoint.  We had a great dinner and it brought back so many happy memories.

Mitchell started 3rd grade in August.  He got the teacher he really wanted....Ms. O'Neal.  He had her last year for 3rd grade math.  He's also in 4th grade math and advanced reading.

We started kid pitch baseball in August as well.  It was a big change for all of us!  Mitchell had a rough start as did many of the kids.  But he had a great season once he got the hang of it.

Macey has continued in her Creative Play program at East Roswell Park.  She loves going to school with her friends Piper and Arden.  She is so excited to go each morning.

She has become more independent and wants to make her own decisions in regards to clothes.  And she doesn't care if she doesn't match!

She is learning a lot of new words and makes sentences with 3 words.  She's learning shapes and letters.  Her favorite shape is triangle.

Over Labor Day weekend, it was nice to have our family visit for the long weekend.  Grandmother, Granddad and Aunt Kerri came into town for a football game.  We headed to the aquarium on Saturday while they were here.

We also had family photo shoot in September.  We headed over to the park one Sunday morning.  I'm really pleased with the pictures that we got.  I'll make a separate post with pictures from our photo shoot.

Baby #3 (aka M3) continues to grow and we're anxiously awaiting his arrival in November.  The summer months were hard because of the heat.  I was often much hotter than everyone else.  I slept with a fan blowing right on me. When we stayed in a hotel in Raleigh, I turned the air down as low as I could while everyone else claimed it was really cold.  I stayed inside as much as I could and enjoyed the air conditioning.

Macey doesn't seem to understand that a baby will soon be here.  Mitchell gets it because he remembers when Macey was born.  He often talks about how excited he is for November 1st to get there so he can meet his little brother.
