Last night Mitchell somehow got the sticky remnants of his fruit snacks in his hair. Of course he didn’t tell me until right before his bedtime when it was too late to give him a bath. So I let it go and I figured I would deal with it this morning.
Well, I forgot about it, but Mitchell did not.
I was getting ready this morning while Mitchell was eating breakfast in the kitchen. At least that is what I thought he was doing. He came back to our bedroom said, “Look at my hair, Mommy. I’m getting the fruit snacks out.”
He had a pair of craft scissors stuck in his hair. They were stuck in his hair because they are patterned scissors and once he clamped them on his hair, they just stayed there. The sticky fruit snacks probably helped to hold them in place as well.
Lucky for us, those types of scissors don’t cut hair very easily. His hair would have certainly looked interesting had he been able to cut a zig-zig pattern into his hair!
I ended up laying him down on the counter and I tried to wash his hair in the kitchen sink. But he hated that and cried the whole time. But the time we were done, his pajamas were soaking wet. But at least his hair wasn't sticky!
