Our Weekend

I know it's Tuesday. I am a procrastinator. So sue me. (And don't read about our weekend.)

For once in a very long time, we didn't have any plans this past weekend. It was so nice after doing so much traveling lately.

On Friday night, we pulled out the sofa bed, popped some popcorn and watched "Who Framed Roger Rabbit." Mitchell loved it! I don't think I'd even seen the entire movie before.

On Saturday, Mitchell and I headed to the gym with Tara and her kids. Mitchell loves the childcare there...well, as long as Christian is there with him! Dave and I got the remaining Christmas boxes in the attic. Now someone can come and stay in our guest room! Later, we headed to Chili's for dinner and went to Toys 'R Us to spend part of a gift card. We checked out the Wii games, but didn't find anything we wanted. So we let Mitchell pick something out instead. He picked some GeoTrax cars for his train set.

On Sunday, I headed to the gym again with Tara. (Childcare is not open on Sunday.) After lunch, Mitchell and I headed to the mall with Tara and her kids. On the way there, Mitchell said, "I want to call Dad." It threw me off because he typically calls Dave "Daddy". So I said, "Who?" He said, "DAD. You know DAVE?!" Then in the parking garage, I said we needed to head up the ramp to find parking spaces. And Mitchell said, "I know what that is called. A Reba." At least that is what I heard because I don't know Spanish. What he really said was "arriba". You know, "up" in Spanish. I also learned that the Spanish word for "down" is "abajo".

Mitchell also camped out on the floor watching TV. He also made a bed for a few of his stuffed animals. That's Mitchell's abandoned bed beside Bugs and Tweety.
