Feb 21st: We went out to dinner with our friends, the Parrys. They graciously offered to watch Mitchell for us while we were in Pittsburgh in January. We reciprocated by taking them to our all-time favorite restaurant (Village Tavern). We took our sitter to their house so the boys could play together. It was a wonderful evening!
Feb 28th: Dave's mom and sister came to Atlanta to visit. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating. They arrived on Friday evening. Aunt Laurie played the Wii with Mitchell for a bit and then they headed to their hotel to check in. We had breakfast at Cracker Barrel on Saturday morning and then we headed to the Big Apple Circus. We had great seats this year (2nd row). Mitchell enjoyed the entire show this year. Last year we left about halfway through the 2nd half of the show. Dave was happy that the snacks were cheaper than the $12 cotton candy he bought the weekend before at the Ringling Brothers circus.
Weather reports were showing snow for Sunday, so Nancy and Laurie decided to head back to NC just in case the weather got bad on Sunday. We were sad to see them leave early!
It did start to snow around lunchtime on Sunday. It was beautiful as it was coming down. The ground was wet from rain the previous day, so the snow was kind of mushy.
March 7th: We headed to NC to visit Granddad, Grandmother, Aunt Kerri and Uncle Mark's family. We even had the pleasure of having dinner with Bonnie and Bob! The weather was a welcome change from the previous weekend. It got up into the low 80s on Saturday. We headed to the park for a walk/bike ride. When we got back, we sat on Mom and Dad's new deck and enjoyed the weather. Before we knew it, Mark's family arrived and the cousins were enjoying their time together. We grilled out and ate on the deck. It was a perfect evening.

We headed back to GA on Sunday. The weather was perfect here as well. Dave did some yard work then Dave and Mitchell went to hang out with the neighbors outside while I went for a walk. Later, we met the Wiltons for dinner. Mitchell enjoyed catching up with Addy!
March 14th: Mitchell had a teacher workday on Friday, so Mitchell and I had a 3-day weekend. On Saturday we headed to the gym with Tara and her kids and then we stopped by Dunkin' Donuts on the way home. This has become our Saturday ritual (when we're in town). But only the kids eat donuts. : ) Mitchell then headed over to Christian's house for a playdate and Dave and I watched CSI on our brand new DVR! So much easier than those antiquated video tapes!
Then we headed over to Andrew's house for another playdate. Andrew is one of Mitchell's school friends. They ended up inviting us to stay for dinner, so the boys made pizzas. We had fun making plans for the boys to go to summer camp together!
Both Saturday and Sunday were rainy and cold. We've spent most of Sunday indoors...snuggling on the couch watching movies and Noggin.
We love our weekends!
