Snow day!

We were supposed to be at Six Flags yesterday for their opening weekend.

Instead, big snowflakes fell from the sky and we had a snow day. Unfortunately, the snow was very wet given that we had a bunch of rain prior to the snow falling. It also wasn't cold enough for the snow to stick around for very long.

But the snow did accumulate on the deck. Mitchell was able to make a throw a few snowballs.

Schools are closed today, so Mitchell gets his first snow day. He didn't quite understand how excited he should be to hear that his school was closed. I told him he didn't have to go to school today and he said, "You're kidding me. I have to figure out how to deal with this."

This is how we're going to "deal" with it...we're getting out of the house!! We're heading to the gym with Tara and her kids in a little bit. There has also been talk of heading to the mall or maybe Target (so Mitchell can get a new coloring book). He's already colored one picture this morning. Dave drove into work earlier and said the roads around here are fine. I'm sure anywhere we go will crowded since school is out!

LOL at his comment!

People here were all excited at the possibility of snow - of course, it didn't snow this far south. But it was quite chilly.

Enjoy the snow day!

Ok, you know I am LMAO at the fact that you guys got a snow day over that little bit of snow. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. If M ever wants to play in some more, you know where to come!
