I'm setting this blog entry to auto post. If all is going well, I just pulled off a surprise party for Dave at Twisted Taco. Today is his 38th birthday.
I came up with the idea a few weeks ago. The hardest part was picking the date. I really wanted his friend Greg there, so we planned this around his busy schedule. Unfortunately that means Tara won't be able to come. : ( I'm bummed about that, but everyone else I invited will be there:

Dave did throw me for a loop by deciding to take Friday off. Then he started making plans like going out of town or going to a baseball game. Thankfully he decided not to do any of those things! And thank goodness there wasn't anything I needed to do on Friday to get ready for the party since we'll be spending the day together now!
I didn't tell Mitchell about the party. He just found out on Sunday that his Daddy's birthday is Friday. He told Dave he should have a Wii party. He said he needed to call his friends (like Hazen...which is funny since Hazen is Mitchell's friend....I mean, he's five.) Dave kind of wrinkled his nose, but I thought it was a cute idea!
I just hope he likes his party!
