Pressing Questions

I woke up at 3:16am today.

I tossed and turned and was finally on my way back to dreamland when I felt a tap on my arm. It was Mitchell. At 3-something in the morning. He wanted to know if I was taking a bus when I go on my "field trip" today.

I told him no, I won't be riding a bus. I'll be driving myself.

I guess these are the things that are on the mind of a 5-year-old at almost 4am in the morning.

I'm heading to Flowery Branch, GA, for a scrapbooking retreat. Since I'm home now, I've been the one picking Mitchell up after school. So yesterday he said he wanted to stay late today and watch the movie. So I told him his Daddy would be picking him up because I was going out of town for a girls weekend.

Dave wants to drive my car to NC this weekend, so I drove Dave's car this morning when I did the neighborhood carpool. Mitchell was quick to tell the neighborhood kids that his Daddy had my car because they were going to NC to see Grandma and Grandpa and I was taking Daddy's car for a girls weekend.

Even though I am feeling kind of groggy this morning, I do have to say that I'm glad I won't be taking a bus this weekend!
