The plan was to meet Dave's friend Greg and his girlfriend, Allison, at Twisted Taco for dinner. Greg said he would get there around 6pm. Dave immediately broke out in hives because we're used to eating earlier...especially when we go to Twisted Taco. He likes to get one of the booths with the private TV. In order to appease him and make him less anxious about going out at 6, I told him I would make a reservation and ask for a booth.
When we arrived, Dave called Greg to see if they were there yet. (They were of course.) He told Dave they had gotten a table in the back. So we headed back there and everyone surprised Dave.
We had a great dinner (mainly because of our fabulous waitress). The kids played in the game room the entire time and had a ball together.
When we left the restaurant, Dave accidentally dropped the remaining birthday cake in the parking lot. He was trying to scoop it up and Mitchell asked if we should call 911. I told him cake in the parking lot doesn't constitute an emergency!
On the way home (which is literally a 3 minute ride). He said he needed to take his shoes off because they (the shoes) were tired. I know he was worn out from the party. It was PJ day at his school on Friday and he didn't want to take them off when he got home from school, so he of course had his clothes on over his pajamas. As soon as I got in the garage, he unbuckled his car seat and started taking off the outer layer of clothing. He was asleep before his head even hit the pillow.
