Mitchell had his 15-month checkup this morning. He is now weighing in at 27 lbs, 4 ounces. He's 32 1/4" tall. He was a little over 24 lbs and 31 1/2" just 3 months ago. The appointment went fine. While we were waiting for the pediatrician, Mitchell took out his plastic hammer and started pounding on the door stop and the floor. I guess he thought they needed some work. He also enjoyed watching the snow fall outside. (It didn't stick, but it was very pretty coming down.)
When the doctor came in, he wasn't too thrilled about the cold stethoscope. He kept squirming away when she tried to listen to his heart and lungs. The pediatrician was very happy with his verbal and motor skills and said it looks like he's a good eater. He had 2 shots. He was very happy to get to daycare. He had fallen asleep on the way there but perked up as soon as he heard his friends' voices. His class was having snack when we got there. But he went over to Zach immediately and started waving at him. Along the way, he hit Catherine on the back of the head. I think it was a love tap though. Zach seemed excited to see him.
He goes back to the doctor in 3 months (18-month checkup). He'll go at 2 years old and then will start going just once a year.
