San Antonio | Day Three | Sunday

The plan for Sunday was to head to Six Flags; however, they didn't open until noon, so we had some time to kill in the morning. Dave and Mitchell had breakfast downstairs and then brought me some food back up to the room. We got ready and decided to head to Target again. Those who know my shopping patterns will laugh about the fact that in the short time we were in Texas, I bought something and returned it to Target!

We got some lunch from Subway and headed to Six Flags to eat at the picnic tables outside of the entrance. Everyone lined up at the gates waiting to get into the park and right at noon, they played the National Anthem. They have never done that at the Six Flags in Georgia. It was pretty neat!

Once we got inside, we headed straight for the ride Mitchell was most excited about...Boomerang. It had several loops and went backwards. He and Dave rode it twice. They rode a kiddie roller coaster next and then we headed to The Rattler...a wooden roller coaster. If you know anything about wooden coasters, you know they are not known for being smooth! Macey and I waited at the exit. One boy who rode before Dave and Mitchell came out told me, "Don't ever get on that coaster." I got a little concerned about how Dave in particular would be feeling once they got off the ride! He was definitely a little bit green when he got off. I don't care for the wooden coaster at our Six Flags and Dave said this one was worse. So I'm glad I didn't have to ride it!

The park had special things going on for Halloween and one thing they did was dye the water red so it looked like blood. Dave and Mitchell got a kick out of that when riding a few of the water rides.

After riding a few more coasters, Mitchell was ready to head back to the hotel. But he loved trying out a different Six Flags...especially since they had different rides from the park in Georgia.

When we got back to the hotel, Mitchell went swimming again. He really enjoyed the pool at the hotel! And we enjoyed sitting by the pool and enjoying the nice TX weather.

We had dinner at Red Robin and then we split up so I could do some shopping. We were staying in an area with new development...nice restaurant, lots of nice stores, so I was itching to go shopping! I walked around DSW and TJ Maxx for a while, but wasn't able to find anything that I wanted to buy! While I shopped, Dave and Mitchell walked around Bass Pro Shops.

Too bad we had to fly back on Monday because all of us really enjoyed our trip and we all loved San Antonio.

And now Mitchell can check Texas off his list of places he'd like to visit.
