Santa Visit ~ 2009

We decided to head to North Point Mall on Monday night in hopes that the line for Santa wouldn't be too terribly long. The line wasn't bad, but it was pet night and a few people had their dogs. Apparently taking pictures of dogs takes longer than taking pictures of children. But we stuck it out instead of leaving and coming back another night. I'm really hoping that we can avoid the mall now for the rest of the holiday season!

I was disappointed to see a different Santa this year. We've seen the same one since 2003 -- when Mitchell was just a few weeks old. I asked one of Santa's helper where he was and he said he doesn't work on Mondays during the first part of December. But he said this Santa is really good and is the Santa from the Atlanta parade.

Mitchell did great. When it was his turn, he hopped right up beside Santa with no issues whatsoever. He looked right at the camera and smiled for a picture.


As we were leaving the mall, we asked Mitchell if he told Santa what he wanted. He said he told him he wanted a DS. But then he added, "But Santa didn't ask what I wanted to go with it!"

On the way home, Mitchell asked when his sister's birthday is. We told him April and he said, "April?! Why would you pick April?!" I'm really not sure what he has against April!
