Mitchell's dinner party

This past Saturday, we had friends over for a Low Country Boil. There were 6 adults and 3 children under the age of 2. Obviously, everyone wasn’t going to fit at our kitchen table and we don’t have a dining room table. So we set up a “kids table” for Mitchell, Gabriella and Addy. Gabriella wanted to sit at the big table at first. But then she saw Mitchell and Addy sitting at the smaller table and she decided to join them. The kids were so cute sitting at their own little table! Mitchell and Addy even played footsie under the table.

After Addy got up from her seat, Mitchell did sit down and started eating her leftover garlic bread. But Addy didn’t seem to mind.

That reminds me of a story from Grammy’s birthday party. There was also a kids table at that party as well. When it was time for dessert, Mitchell sat down at the kids table with McKenzie and Madison. Mitchell was just picking and poking at his cake and ate a few bites and then he got up. Since he got up, I took his piece of cake and ate it myself. Then Mitchell came back looking for his cake and sat down where he saw an available piece…at Madison’s seat. So he started to dig in and Madison realized what was going on. She told him to move and stop eating her cake. Luckily Mitchell just got up and moved on and didn’t put up a fight. After all, it was her cake. Mommy had eaten the rest of Mitchell’s cake!
